Hi! My name is Lyn Barrett and I’m an author, speaker, retreat leader and survivor of early childhood trauma. I was diagnosed with multiple personality disorder, now known as dissociative identity disorder (DID), in 1992. I’ve done my work and am happy to say I lead a fulfilling and integrated life after several decades of inner chaos and deep pain. Thanks to a wonderful therapist, a few faithful friends, and my own dogged determination to heal, I am a whole person. I believe you have the capacity to become a whole person too, whatever that means to you.

Please use my website to your advantage! My blog is a series of reflections on DID, my memoir Crazy: Reclaiming Life from the Shadow of Traumatic Memory is an inspirational account of my journey, and my writing workshops help you begin to share your story too.

Email me and let me know what’s going on in your life, what works and what doesn’t, and what you see for yourself in the future. If I could do it, so can you!

Lyn Barrett

PS I’m a retired elementary school teacher, school principal, and church pastor. I brought these passions to my healing and bring them now to my work as an advocate for people with DID. (Click here for a full resume.) I look forward to hearing from you. Keep the faith!
